Canadian visa officers use biometrics to confirm your identity. Biometrics also helps to:（加拿大签证处使用生物信息来确认你的身份，这些生物信息可以在以下方面发挥作用：）

If you are approved for a multiple-entry visa, you will only need to give your biometrics once, when you first apply. It will not take more time for CIC to process your application if you give your biometrics at the same time as, or within a few days after, you apply. After you give your biometrics, your fingerprints and photograph will be encrypted and sent electronically to a secure Government of Canada database.
