The Student Direct Stream (SDS) provides a streamlined study permit application process for students with strong English or French language abilities who will enter into their program of study at an eligible post-secondary Designated Learning Institution (DLI). The list of DLIs can be found here.

How do I qualify for SDS? - 我是否符合条件?

To qualify, you must: 若符合此类别的条件，你必须：

have been accepted by an eligible post-secondary Designated Learning Institution (DLI) - 递交高等教育指定学习机构的录取通知书（letter of acceptance）
demonstrate the required English or French language abilities - 递交英语或法语能力证明 - 递交英语或法语能力证明
provide evidence of sufficient financial support for the duration of your studies - 递交你学习期间有充足经济能力的资金证明

General information: - 基本信息：

Applicants who are seeking entry solely for English or French preparatory courses, and who do not have a conditional acceptance to a college or university in Canada, are not eligible for this program. However, you may still apply under the Student Direct Stream if your Letter of Acceptance (LOA) requires you to complete preparatory courses before commencement of your academic program and you meet all other requirements.

No. The SDS provides a streamlined application process and faster processing times but you must still meet all the requirements for a study permit.
